Yes, yes, it is. I think. To be honest, I can only think of two other members here who are either Dutch or Flemish-Belgian.
Would you count Southafrican as Dutch?

I doubt that, except for Suriname, there's little Dutch spoken in those places.

Heh. It's funny though, there are still traces of the Dutch language found in these places. Even in American English. I once encountered the word goedkoop (cheap) in an old-ish English dictionary, though I do not remember if it was an American English dictionary. The languages of trade. :)

Indeed, the language of commerce. On a similar note, the word "ledger" comes from "legger" (from "leggen" = "to lay"). It used to be a book so big that you had to lay it on a table to handle it. Hence the name.

Cool, I always love finding out about that kind of stuff. A bit to a fault really. I can suddenly notice and point something like this out mid conversation, after which people always give me that 'what the hell are you smoking'-look.

Nothing I'm too proud of online though.

I kind of hate Holland though. Here, shallowness serves only to protect the shallowier. And Gordon.

Who's Gordon?

I dunno about shallowness, or being loudmouthed. Mostly harmless seems more fitting to me
