Intersting stats: I'm sure you will be most welcome, although given the proclivities of some within our little troupe I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. A high pain tolerance is certainly a plus.
Yes, we are going after the Shadow Master. In the storyline, there is only one Shadow Master and he is the nemesis of the Dark Flames. I would request that you read at least this installment of the Dark Flames saga so that you have some sense of the story line and the relationship between the various avatars/charactes; reading the first Dark Flames thread will be helpful as well, but I understand the reality of time constraints.
Right now, the Shadow Master appears to control Harry -- that is probably a full time commitment.
There are hints that he is linked to the Red Wizards of Thay (due to the presence of the Simbul), but that is unconfirmed. I tend to think of him as a demilich when I write him, but that perception might not be shared by all. In general, we have left the whole question of his powers open-ended. Actually, we tend to leave a lot of things open-ended. Do you have any ideas about how you would like to enter the storyline? Also, if there is any particular avatar/character that might be helpful to help introduce your character, please let us know.
