Plot

Ok, so I've had this concept for a mission since I was starting this new campaign in the new game, but now that I've tried to put it into practice and actually make sense...it isn't. I knew from the beginning that one person in our group was going to be a Daelkyr Half-Blood, so I come up with this idea that he, along with the rest of the group (who don't know he's a DHB) are sent to kill this woman who's pregnant with a Half-Blood. You get the idea.

Anyway, so the campaign is in Sharn and for the time being is staying there, so I have to come up with a way just to fit this concept into the current situation. So I came up with this idea, a Morgrave Professor (who they've already met) hires them to kill a Dragonmark Heir of Deneith who hasn't been seen on the street in just under a month. He tells them that his agents have tracked her down, she's staying in the headquarters for the Agents of Darguun in Sharn, which I'm calling Tower D for planning purposes. Anyway, the issue is that, this is an extremely dangerous mission and they're Level 3.

So basically, what I'm asking for is, some ideas to be pelted at me, because the guy who I usually get ideas from is playing the game, and humourously is actually the Half-Blood. The only template for these ideas are, they have to be given from a Morgrave Professor, and the party has to end up killing this person. Doesn't have to be a Dragonmark Heir, or part of House Deneith.

Just a note, by physical appearances alone, the party will quite easily know he's a Half Blood Daelkyr.

This is in fact a job that House Deneith would ask, not a university professor. Morgrave professors are nothing more than teachers and guides. They can give quests, but assassination ones aren't even remotely within their power.
she's staying in the headquarters for the Agents of Darguun in Sharn
You do realize that if there's an embassy for Darguun inside sharn and you get the players to infiltrate it and kill a house deneith representative, it could bring about war between Sharn and Darguun pretty much instantly. The sheer political influence of infiltrating an embassy is probably a worse act than treason; and even if a morgrave professor did have the power to give you this task, he would in no way give it knowing she's getting diplomatic immunity in a foreign embassy.

First of all, a Daelkyr Half-Blood looks exactly like a human, except it has an aberration. From the first three you can start with, Breed Leech is ridiculously easy to hide, Crawling Gauntlet just looks like an extravagant gauntlet and Throwing Scarab (which is the one the guy has) he's explained by saying it's a ritual decoration he gained at his monastery; he has a virtually identical one on his other arm.

Second of all, all of the stuff about Darguun and Morgrave Professors is irrelevant because I'm not going to be using that idea anyway. Do you have any ideas you'd like to suggest?

The biggest thing is the symbiont, and those are just as much an odd and potentially seen as evil, and most of the time they are automatically associated with Daelkyr's.

I gave you a suggestion, but you chose to ignore it.

I assumed that the Daelkyr War (and consequently the Daelkyr) while being an earth-shattering event, would not be common knowledge among most of the lesser races, as they weren't on Khorvaire when it happened*. I assumed that the members of the party would know little of the War or the Daelkyr, let alone what the aberrations themselves look like or that Daelkyr Half-Bloods even exist. (Feel free to correct me on this, the party is a Droaam Goblin, a Druid Halfling, a Changeling Wizard and a DHB Monk)

Secondly, ??? I can't see any suggested ideas in your post. Unless you're talking about how a House Deneith representative would only ask for the killing, because that's the only thing that even remotely constitutes a suggestion from what I've read.

* I tell a lie, it's only the Humans of the "Lesser Races" that weren't on Khorvaire at the time. But I'd imagine that the Changelings hadn't constituted themselves yet and the Hobgoblins had no desire to educate Goblins. The most likely one to know about the Daelkyr War is the Halfling.

Something else you could do is to have them get an unclear message about who they're supposed to kill, and then have them attacked by said person in the street. Not the most finessed plan, but an acceptable one. Also could avid the whole "war" problem. :mischief:
