Alchemy: Cat potion help needed

Alright so as i started the game i was like "hey im a somewhat okay gamer, why not go medium difficulty" and i did. and then i got to the outskirts of Vizima i remember i was able to make 'Cat' Potion then. but due to my slight laziness toward monster combat i decided to switch to easy. yeah yeah who dosent wanna try that, so i started a new game. but my problem is, when i got to Chapter 1 outskirts of Vizima again i did not have the ability to make cat potion is there anything that might have happend back at Kaer Moren (sp) that i missed the ability to make Cat potion? or mabye i did somthing in outskirts of vizima to get it, i dont remember. please can anyone help me on this?

Alchemy is just a matter of learning the formula and having the ingredients. You may not have gotten the formula. If you haven't, you can still make it if you have the ingredients. Cat Potion

Yep, and then all you have to do is drink it, and it'll work just like normal.

If at any time you happen to need a formular there are pages everywhere that list them all .
The first time you make the formular manualy it will show up in your stock as unknown until you use it the after that it will be listed in your files .
This goes for any concoction.
