Choosing Sarevok's weapons skills?
I'd love to do a purely for fun run through being very, very naughty. I'd like to add Sarevok to my party when I get to ToB, but I am not sure about the weapons proficiency issue. Does he level up when i add him and do I get to choose all or some of his skills?

I have used Sarevok as my main tank once of twice in ToB and there are a few weapons that really suit him, from a RPG perspective - one weapon to give him is the Silver Sword - which has a good vorpal hit-ratio - add that to his Deathbringer Assault (a natural vorpal ability with 200HP damage or so inflicted) and you have a bad-ass in your party.
his THAC0 is excellent...
another weapon which is similar in effect is the spike/nail forged halberd - it has vorpal capability and does a lot of damage. I just like seeing his scything through enemies swinging 2-handed weapons.
he is so mean that I'd like to see him dual wield double handers, but it would be a bit ridiculous. dualling Blackrazor and Daystar are particularly good if you have hosts of undead to deal with, but he doesn't have the points advantage that he does with two hander swords.
it's a shame that double handed axes seem to have been absorbed within the halberd category.

I had my Sarevok ending up like this:
***** 2H swords
***** halberds
* crossbows
** 2H weapon proficiency
He used Ravager +6 (as the main weapon), Firetooth crossbow (admittedly not used much), and Psion's Blade and Runehammer (situational only).
Man, he was bad to the bone.

Why is it that whenever I finally get around to playing a new game for the first time,
I feel like playing Baldur's Gate for the second time...
