Frustration on the Island

Post by Celacena »

I haven't played for some time - the reason being that I am/was stuck on a quest on the island. I was trying to work my up with the powers that be and had been asked to clear/guard an area near the town which was growing up on the West side of the island. I couldn't seem to get all the creatures that they wanted me to - they never tell me that I have done what they wanted.

anybody recognise that quest and my error?

(think it might have been dryads or something like that)

I suspect you're referring to Solstheim and the East Empire Company quest 'Razing the Forest', which involves having to kill four spriggans.

The IDs for the Spriggans are BM_spriggan_co1, BM_spriggan_co2, BM_spriggan_co3, BM_spriggan_co4

To progress to the next part of the quest without killing the Spriggans the console command is
Journal Co_10 30
I had problems the first time I took on that quest, first they're tough little blighters for a low level, and I could only find three of them! After much ado I eventually realised that the fourth one had spawned under the building and I had to temporarily disable the building with the console to get at it!

that was the quest I meant - I might go back to the saved game (if I can find it) and look under buildings. my character was uber-powerful and due to enchantments has very good flight capabilities, so I had been able to fly around the area hunting enemies. I could also probably blast any spriggins hiding under buildings with area-effect spells etc - I have a couple of rings which are enchanted with lots of fire and electric balls.

thanks - I hadn't thought to look under buildings etc.

once you get over-stocked on soul gems and enchanted daedric stuff, the game isn't very challenging - especially if you levitate above anything that might otherwise have a chance at getting you. those eerie creatures that have souls worth as much as the golden saint souls are simply harvested. mind you, being able to summon golden saints at will and nick their souls and glass armour seemed fun at first.
