Hello,
as I read Abigail is member of the cult of the lion-headed spider. You can gain this knowledge by giving her to the mob at the end of chapter I.
From what I have read the cult mentioned above is a death cult who sees his god as the name says as a spider. This spider weaves the strings of fate into a web, which constantly grows and sometimes needs to be corrected. This means if someone dies a string is broken and devoured by the spider god. Sometimes the god wants his priests to do a little correction, that is killing others or making others kill each other or making others kill themselves.
Could it be that Abigail pulls more strings in chapter one than the unknowing player might anticipate?
On the other hand the Healer in Chapter V who consequently is not Abigail if you led the mob have her in Chapter I says that you have the blood of innocents on your hands and cannot help Alina who by this time is a noon wraith.
To me there are several possibilities to deduct from this statement:
1) When Abigail is the Healer in Chapter V (she as a member of the cult) does not mind whom you kill (as long as it is not herself) and thus tells you nothing of "blood on your hands"
2) The Healer (not Abigail) knows that you killed many during your adventure so far and generally disapproves of killing people, hence "blood on your hands".
3) The Healer (not Abigail) knows you led the mob have Abigail and further knows that Abigail was really innocent, thus "blood on you hands"
Another question: Is it possible to confront Abigail with being a member of the cult? (That you gain the knowledge otherwise than having her curse you when you give her to the mob?)

[SPOILER] Question about Abigail
I don't think you can ever confront Abigail about anything after that 1st chapter. And, from the way the cinematic implied things, I assumed that giving Abigail to the mob was the "shedding of innocent blood" that the healer referred to, b/c if you help Abigail, you talk about how you don't always use swords to solve problems and help people.
