Lookin for a "Book"
Hi there gamers,
I was hoping that someone could help me out with something. Within the last couple of years I had a D&D resource book, and I've since lost it. I don't remember if it was an actual D&D Supplement publication or if it was a generic D20 RPG Supplement, and I don't remember whether it was a hard copy or an eBook or what. The guy at my local gaming shop doesn't recognize the description and I cannot, for the life of me, remember the actual name of the book.
Here's what I DO remember. This source book represented some kind of wonderful (traveling?) marketplace with a merchant for every occasion. There was a merchant who sold inventive widgets and weapons, another who sold amazing armors and one who sold various vehicles. There was a vendor who sold riding animals and beasts of burden from donkeys to dragons. There was a merchant who sold cunningly crafted clothing and another who sold fabulous foodstuffs.
Okay, I'm beginning to sound like an infomercial. Anyway, I vaguely think that this book might have had bazaar or emporium or something like that in the title. Can anyone PUH-LEEZE identify this book for me and, if it is an eBook, provide a link where I might be able to get it again.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance.

Dunno what book has those as merchants, but I do know that Arms & Equipment Guide has most of those features (though they're just tables of stuff that can be sold in a game of DND).
I don't think I've heard of a book that features actual Vendors for the game of DND.

yeah, this book actually gives a little background on each vendor. Where they're from, a description of their appearance or demeanor, maybe even a little story about how they got into the business or where they found their coolest stuff.
I absolutely LOVED that book. It was an awesome resource that, alas, I can no longer find. Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.

Aurora's Whole Realm's Catalogue maybe???? I had it at one time. Its for 2nd edition and it is a smallish sized book. It sold all sorts of weird stuff. There was a gnomish inventor in it named DaRoni
who sold techno-garbage. Would this be the item you are inquiring about?

For a moment, I had hoped that this might be the book I sought. But upon clicking on the link you provided, I am sad to say this isn't it either.
Did the d20 system Arms and Armor book have a sequel, officially published or otherwise? I believe that the cover of this book looks similar to the one I'm looking for.

Yeah, WoTC really screwed the site over with the new software for it, plus using only fourth edition material now. Your best bet I would say is instead of wrecking yourself to death finding this book, you might be able to use the Arms & Armor book and create your own merchants with your own backstories for them, it's much more satisfying anyways.Mac Thamhais wrote:Actually I did give it a quick look, but I was unable to find a listing for anything published before 2008.

Heh, I still think most of the original people who work at WoTC are bastard coated bastards with bastard filling.GawainBS wrote:Actually, there's still some use for the Wizards site: use Google to search it. I found the old 3.0->3.5 update that way, so the stuff is still out there.
The site on its own, however, is a terrible swamp.
