I want to reply an RPG I know, and I think NWN is a good choice. I'd like to replay the original campaign, and I'm look for suggestions. I've played all three campaigns so I have all the standard prestiege classes available. I'm on a Mac, and I played through the first time with an Elf Rogue/Ranger. It was tons of fun, although the ending was a little anticlimactic.
I'd like suggestions for a good class to play through anew.
Edit: The lesson, as always, is that I can't spell. The title of the thread should be "Original". As ever, I'm an idiot.

Best class for Oricinal campaign

I don't really go for the most powerful builds so if you want a really powerful build then I can't help you. However if you want a build thats fun to play then some of my favourites are:
Human Paladin
Dwarven Cleric/Champion of Torm
Halfling Monk (possibly multiclassed so that he is also a pale master, but its better to do this with SoU -> HotU due to the higher levels obtained)
Human or Elf Sorceror
Elf Ranger/Arcane Archer (you will need at least one level of wizard too for this)
Another quite fun build, and very powerful, is an arcane caster multiclassed to a Red Dragon Disciple.
My next game (when I've finished replaying the BG series) I'm going to try a rogue/shadow dancer

Thanks Mr.Sir! I actually played through SoU and HotU with a human Fighter/Bard/RDD who became disgustingly powerful by the end of the game. So I can attest to the fun factor of that class. Thanks for the other ideas though!
Just out of curiosity, why a halfling monk/pm? Wouldn't the halfling's size hurt your damage and don't you need an arcane class to become a pm?

I just felt like having a halfling monk lol. Yeah I took enough wizard levels to get the pale master class but then focussed on the monk and pale master only. By the end of HotU he was something like palemaster 10, wizard 3 or something like that and monk for the rest. He also used a bastard sword as a great sword  I quite often find less powerful or obvious builds more fun to play, but the palemaster does work well with the monk class I wouldn't recommend the build for the O.C. though, I just played through that as a pure monk.

I'm a pretty big power gamer. At least, I was on my repeated runs through BG2.
(FYI- Mr.Sir, if you're experiencing BG2 for the first time, be prepared to love it. It is, imho, the best rpg ever. It has more depth, distinction, and individuality than any other game I've ever played. I can talk all day about the greateness of the game. If you want to have a top-notch character, go with some variation of a fighter->theif, either dual or multi classed, especially if you've got ToB. There, I'm done)
I always end up playing some sort of Elvish Rogue in NWN because of the active search functionality. I'd like a cleric or druid build, maybe with a few levels of monk thrown in. I dunno... any character I play has to be pretty powerful, so give me your best shot.
Also, don't worry about ability scores. I change my scores because of my problems with the point-buy system, so I don't mind altering my scores (unlike many others).

I've played both BG games +expansions many times
Back on topic though:
I've always found the most powerful cleric build to be a pure cleric, although I have never tried it with, say, a few levels of fighter or monk.
Clerics have very powerful buffing and defensive spells, and a buffed up cleric will have little trouble at all in completing the game. If you were going to go fro a cleric though then I'd suggest not multiclassing in the OC, as this way you will get access to the high level spells. I'd also not be inclined to take monk levels with a cleric since you will lose many abilities if you wear heavy armour, although this can be compensated for by the monk robes (particularly one available in Chapter 2 that permanently hastes your character, thus adding +4 to AC as well as increasing attack etc.). I'd try to take at least 10 to 12 levels of cleric though, preferably more, as the biggest strength of a cleric is the access to the high level buffing spells.

The only problem I have with a cleric is that I really don't have the patience for buffs, unfortunately. I know that they are very powerful, but if I play a spellcaster it's always a Sorcerer because I like being a walking artillery battery, not a combat medic or forcefield.
What about some kind of Druid? My first pnp character ever was a druid so I've got a soft spot, but I've never actually gone through the campaign with one. Maybe a druid with a few monk levels? There'd be no armor problems, I'd get the wis bonus to AC, and the unarmed combat attack bonuses would transfer to any shifted characters, right?
Actually, maybe I'll play through HotU with that guy... shifter as a prestiege class.... hmmm
