I collected a lot of ankheg shells and brought them to Fenten in BG to sell as I have read he buys them. The first time I talked to him he directed me to Gerde in the Farm area south of BG. Before leaving I wanted to see if he would buy the ones I already had. So I talked to him again before heading south and he said "I hear the Ankheg boom is starting to taper off...shame isn't it?"

So thinking I needed to speak with Gerde first I went to see her, cleaned out the ankheg cave and went back to Fenten. However, he still tells me "I hear the Ankheg boom is starting to taper off...shame isn't it?"

No matter what I do (one shell in inventory or all shells) he will not engage me in dialog to purchase any shells.

Did I do something wrong or is this possibly due to a mod I am using. Mods installed are:

EasyTutu
Degreenifier
Hard Times
BG1NPC
BG1NPC Music

Sounds like a bug and that after speaking to him the first time, you have to kill at least one ankheg. Don't know for sure though as I have never had any problem. I do know that in the vanilla game, you can sell quite a lot in Beregost, but that you should only carry one when you speak to the smith otherwise he takes them all for just 500gp. If you put them on the ground you can sell them for 500gp each. Not much help to you though as Tutu is different!
