Two Questions Please

Post by ve6tp »

Hi:

Question 1:
What is the significance of the "stars" beside certain Quests? Are these to be acted on before the others?

Question 2:
I have not built a bomb yet, but probably will soon. After building it, how do you use it. I assume you put it in the "hand slot" but can you direct it to who or where you want to throw it? Or how is it done?

Thanks again.

1. I THINK that the stars reffer to whether the Quest is Main (What you MUST do to progress in the chapter) or a side quest. Not sure, tho.

2. I suspect that they are used the same way as potions. Don't know, as I don't use bombs.

From the Witcher wiki:

*Bombs can be used by right-clicking on them in the Inventory panel.

*These objects can also be placed on the witcher's belt and used in the main game environment. When detonated, bombs affect all opponents and neutral characters. They do not impact friendly characters (marked in green).

Starred quests are active quests. You can tell the difference between primary and secondary quests by the icons detailed here: Journal - Witcher Wiki : your guide for everything about The Witcher

Thank you both for your replies.

I don't think I will be using bombs, but it could be fun just fooling around with it and seeing what happens ....

Best regards.

I for some reason?? thought the stars meant it was a quest that you could use the 'map tracker' feature to tell you where you need to go. Maybe thats wrong??
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

No, you're right. Starred quests you can track on the map, but that also means as a matter of logic that they must be active quests. :D But yeah, not all active quests can be tracked (like contracts)...
