Post by mistered »

1. From Biowares website:

Processor Pentium® II 450 MHz or AMD K6 450 MHz (min)

Pentium® III 800 MHz or AthlonTM 800 MHz(rec)

2. From the manual of platinum edition:

Processor Pentium III 800 MHz (min)

Pentium IV 1.3 GHz (rec)

Didn't Platinum Edition include the expansions as well? If so, that could explain the difference in the processor speeds. Was there other differences as well?

Yeah, I'd say that's right.

When it originally came out, I was running it off a 700MHz without problems on mid-low end settings. Then the expansions came out and then hak packs adding stuff in... capes, cloaks, horses... and then it slowed down on the machine and I can had to resort to min settings. Even then, large areas still have slight problems.

Hmm. No. You are doing guess work, am I right? ;)

The processor requirement for nwn and its 2 expansions are the same in Biowares website. Although the RAM requirement of the expansions are higher, that explains what Shift244 found.
