Advantages and disadvantages to different characters. So there is no answer to your question. Some characters have nice spells some combat abilities some nice skills and so forth.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
This is a *very* complicated question, BUT I'll try an answer it to a degree:
The absolute best class build is an almost pure wizard.. unfortunately it is also (by *far*) the most difficult to play properly.
If you want the overall easiest class to play then I'd suggest a pure favored soul for 20 levels, but ONLY if you have the MOTB expansion installed.
At low levels the class (with a few buffing spells) is good enough as a fighter.
At intermediate levels the class can be *better* than a fighter with the spell Divine Power (plus additional spell buffs).
At higher levels the class has offensive spell power (in addition to the above).
Race - Human (no level penalty with a chance of getting to level 20 in the original campaign, + an additional feat).
Feat concentration - Power Attack character creation, Cleave character creation, Great Cleave 3rd level, Monkey Grip (when available). Pick a deity that has a great sword as its preferred weapon - use that with a shield (once you have Monkey Grip).
The class has a great many "perks" and has an easy spell casting system.
Alternatively for *only* the original campaign a sorcerer can be very good (spell penetration feats), BUT you'll need to study which spells to pick during level up - makes a HUGE difference.
For melee-only also consider a purist monk (and again the power attack, cleave, great cleave feats).
Note that most of the builds out there on the NWN 2 Wiki are "power builds" - and are not necessarily great at any particular level accept level 30. Many are down-right poor at lower levels. On the other hand taking the time to study them can give you a very good understanding of the various class structures and their interaction with other classes to achieve a particular "effect".

although your strengths to the F.S. class are all valid, the only thing i found was that great cleave needs a BAB of +4 so you cant take it at level 3 with F.S. other than that its all good.
As for the topic, it comes down to what type of build you want. Mage , Warrior, Stealth attacker, Ranged attacker, etc. Every build has major strengths and weaknesses so logically most people want to make hybrids, but those usually result in a character that cant do thing mediocre instead of the best.
What kind of character are you trying to build?

I would not use a great sword. I would use a scimitar. 1-6 vs 2-12 is not going to make much difference with the level of magical weapons in the campaign and you save a feat. You can get +7 with 15d6 elemental damage on your weapon I believe. Anyhow I wouldn't want the -2 AB or waste of a feat. There is also a deity with bastard sword if you want more damage/lower threat range, but a buffed favored soul has insane AB so it probably doesn't make any difference what you do.

I've tried it out with all the different weapons in-game (OC), and for most of the campaign it makes a big difference. (..at about the 2/3rd's marker in-game you can enchant weapons (generally better than you can purchase/find), and I would agree that it doesn't make much difference at that point.)Claudius wrote:I would not use a great sword. The great sword is more effective at dealing damage to most opponents overall. The AB difference isn't noticeable once you have a shield and monkey grip (..at early levels of course you just use the sword). Additionally there are many great swords with additional damage modifiers early in the game - and increasingly better ones throughout the game (.."Vile Drinker" is available at about the 1/2 marker into the game). Bastard sword selection is pitiful, again though a moot point once you have sufficient access to enchantment. +7/+8 and 3 x 5d6 of elemental damage is only possible late in MOTB, still - I think you can achieve a max of +5 and quite a bit of elemental damage at latter stages in the OC.
For most of the OC though I'll stick to my recommendation. For MOTB - it doesn't really matter.
The build I had the easiest time with so far is Drow Brd 2 Fighter 8 RDD 10 FB 10
Str 18(48) +7 Levels +8 RDD +3 Feats +12 Belt(MotB)
Dex 13(16) +3 Boots Sun 5 (use magic dev)
Con 12(24) +2 RDD +2 Companion +8 Gauntlets(MotB)
Int 16(20) +2 RDD +2 Companion
Wis 8(12) +4 Companion
Cha 11(16) +2 RDD +2 Companion +1 Jarl
Feats: SR 41 (Drow) Natural Leader, Luck of Heroes, Able Learner, Negotiator, Blindfight (RDD), Toughness (FB), Double Cleave (FB), Supreme Power Attack (FB), Inspire Courage 1 (Brd) Inspire Competence 1 (Brd) Bard Knowledge +2 (Brd) Focus/Spec/Greater Focus/Epic Focus/ Imp Crit Spear, Epic Prowess, Immunity Fire/Sleep/Paralysis (RDD), Imp Evasion - Armor (OC), Immunity Cold - Orglash Crystal (MoTB Fire Immunity negates Fire Vulnerability)
Atack Bonus: BAB +26 Drow -1 Inspire Courage +1 Sup PA -6 Str +19 Feats + 7 = 46/41/36/31/26/21 + 46/46 x? Double Great Cleave +46 Attack Opportunity Spear threat range (not including weapon Bonus)
Damage: d8 + 28 (Str 2H) +24 (Supreme PA) +1 (Inspire Courage) +2 (Weapon Sp) = 56-63 +Weapon Enchants (19-20/x3)
Disadvantages:
Drow Light penalty (should be called outdoors penalty) +2 Lvl Penalty -20% Multiclass Penalty (course if you rest to generate encounters in the final area, you can still make lvl 20+level adj. and still gain enough to level again when starting MotB), Romance Feat overwrites Natural SR if you choose to get it

You have to meet the requirements. I usually plan a character from level 1-20 or 30 before I play so that I can be sure to remember to choose what I need to meet the requirements. An example is divine champion...you need +7 BAB and a weapon focus. Keep in mind that base classes (available at start) count for determining multiclass xp penalty. Prestige classes (unlock when you meet requirements) do not count for multiclass xp penalty.
There are two: Neverwinter Nine and Shadowthief of Amn which do not unlock until parts of the quests in the game. You only get the chance to be one or the other depending on your choices. NWN is a pretty solid class, but don't expect to take any levels until quite high level. You need 3 levels of NWN to be worthwhile.
Shadowthief of Amn is a way to get combat feats and sneak dice at the same time. Also a way to raise the bluff score for the feint ability.
