Bug with a Quest

Quayle Has Called for Aerie

I've returned to the Circus tent with Aerie because I got the message from Quayle saying he needed to see her. As soon as I enter Aerie automatically starts talking with Quayle about how we've "just come back to visit" and how we'd like to come back again some time and "stay for a tenday" - Quayle goes on about how he wouldn't be able to stand our loving gazes for that long and to make it a week... whatever.

The dialogue session wraps up and finishes. Then, to my dismay, after about a 3 second time lapse, Aerie starts the whole thing up again. This continues - after each dialogue session ends there's a 3 second pause and it starts again.

I've gotten to Quayle and tried to speak to him, all he says is one line about how it's good to see me or something and says bye.

I can't seem to activate the next dialogue session about the quest. I've exited and saved the game, closed the game, restarted and still the same result.

Has anyone come across this bug before? Should I look for a solution somewhere else or does anyone have any suggestions?

For now I'll just continue on with something else - maybe if a day or two passes in the game it will be alright, I don't know.

hm, if i recall correctly, quayle doesn't give out any more quests after the circus tent one. i do remember once him sending a message whilst aerie was in the party, but the only thing he said was to give a pointer to the haer'dalis quest.

it is possible that romancing aerie would trigger something else with him, i dont know. but if you're not then i'm pretty sure you arn't missing anything here.

That's what I couldn't remember... what quest specifically he was going to point me towards.

I got the message, but before going to the circus tent i stopped by the theater and activated the next segment in the her'dalis quest, thereby skipping quayle's part - seems that's now made entering the circus tent buggy.
