Regarding Draedoth Temple

Post by ve6tp »

Hi:

Before I go to the Vale of Ruins and fight my way to Draedoth Temple, I thought I might save myself a lot of trouble if I asked the following question:

When I get to the Temple, will I be able to enter it? I have no particular quest, etc., and I was wondering if it was necessary to have some prior requirement to enable me to enter it.

I would love to get the shield.

What say??

Thanks,
Tru

So far as I know, there isn't any requirement to get in or get the relic.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

OK, thanks for that. Just wanted to be sure. Wasted my effort in a similar way earlier in the game. Once is enough ..... Already did the blood thing.

I'm doing Tomb or the Soals now, but onward after that.

I currently have two characters who have done some mountain climbing in order to get the relic from Draedoth before even entering the sewers. There are no prerequisites involved.

wow

how did you get over the mountian before entering the sewers ? did you just stick all your points from character creation into athletics or what? i got owned my packs of wolves before i entered the sewers and i cant see how you made it to the temple without die'n at every pack of monsters you encountered. but it would be funny use against the goblin mages :) , god i hate the goblins at the beginning!!!

I farmed up to level 5, and spent most of my advance points on intellect, and then athletics and one point of archery. By this time, I've acquired about 50+ health potions. That is a big help in surviving the horde. It's also good to have experience in melee battle - especially if the character hasn't any skills.

There are two places to climb out of the start area; I took the one on the west wall, and went straight to moonbeast island. Farm moonbeasts for awhile (I get intellect to about 100 before I spend any more advance points on skills), and move on.

My second character has finished his class training (Battlemage/Deathlord), and is just about to wrap up in Draedoth now, at level 28. I had finished it before, and then went and got the Ring of Protection, but I couldn't find a place to climb back out of the swamp, so I had to revert to the last save.

I love getting relics before entering the sewers lol! But there IS a way to climb out of the swamp. It's a little hard to explain, but it's on the wall to the left of the council of stones, if you're coming from the Irinthybl Maze. You journey along that wall toward the left away from the council and you will come to a place that doesn't look like you could climb it real easy, but it's not that hard! If you can't find it, let me know and I can find it again and try to be more specific!

Ugh, I walked around that swamp so many times. I'll check it out again, but if you get a chance before I find it, a pic would be appreciated (I guarantee I'd recognize it from a pic!).
