Malavon Bug

So after beating Malavons clone or whatever it is the original never appears and the exit is bugged so I can't leave and return the area. I have reloaded the autosave and done other areas and thewn went back but it's always the same. So im kinda stuck.

Is this a well know bug? And is there a way to solve it?

It's normal that the exit closes after you've had the dialogue with the clone, this has been made to make the game more challenging.
IIRC the real Malavon doesn't appear immediately after killing the clone, you might have to kill the other enemies and enter certain locations too.
I'd just retry with different tactics, one of the next attempts will probably yield the desired result, if not you can enable and use the cheat console.

Thanks for the info. I have tried dragging the fight to different rooms and i have killed all the enemies and ive spent hours walking around trying to trigger his reapperence to no effect.

you mentioned the cheat console, how do i access it and how can it help me?

At Sorcerer's Place - Icewind Dale Tips, Tricks & Hints you can read how the cheats work.
With the cheat console you could teleport your out of Malavon's Lair and once you've found all other badges you could teleport to the area which you should be able to access then.
Area codes can be found in Dan Simpson walkthrough or in GB's walkthrough section for example.

If you know the item codes you could create Malavon's badge and the other stuff he owns instead, optimal would be a code to have Malavon appear, but I don't know if or how this can be done.
