warrior and enchanting weapon!

Post by vercingetorige9 »

i'v chosen to be a warrior(imperial) and focused on strenght, endurance and agility(for locking and aiming with the bow);now,do i have to necessarily enter the arcane universisty, after havin done all the missions for the guil mage,to be able to enchant a weapon or not?
considered that i usuallu use the beginning flame strike(destruction magic) a lot along with the (long sword)blade and shield of course, will i need the mysticism magic for rechargin a soul gem so that to recharge a magic weapon ,isn't it?
at what minimim level to have mysticism for a warrior to be only able to recharge a magical one?
the spell soul trap can be used by a warrior with only destructive magic or what other magic schools are needed?

There are no requirements other than completing all the recommendation quests and gaining access to the enchanting stations. No attribute or skill level is needed. Just walk up to the station, activate it and enchant away.

when gaining levels on a certain skill(the red bar must be completely red) will i have automatically access to the next step (from novice to apprentice and so on,and so on)or will i have to be trained by a master of that very skill(which thing costs a lot!)?
as far as alchemy is concerned, should one have available all the four tools when mixing the reagents or just one is enough?

Yeah when the bar goes to the end then you gain the next level of that skill. You can get a skill to 100 without paying trainer I believe. (I've done alchemy just by mixing up tons of food potions and selling to buy more ingredient + profit)

The only one you need to make a potion is the mortar and pestle. The other ones do other things. google oblivion wiki and then look around for the alchemy section to find out about the things.

I usually get the house in the Imperial city which is a shack. It is cheap and thats why I like it. Then I store all the alchemy equipment in there. When I am traveling I just take the mortar and pestle, but if I have a lot of strength or not too much weight then I take the next lightest one, the retort, which is also useful. I think the alembic just reduces poisonous effects (maybe thats morrowind) so I wouldn't want that because a lot of my potions are poisons to coat my weapon. The calcinator is the heaviest one and its useful but I wouldn't carry that thing.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

another thing,to recharge magic weapons(so far i'v used a thing found in a cave that is 1000gold value, but don't remember the name of it!),is it enough to get the repair weapon and armour skill to master or will i need a soul gem with a soul inside to recharge it?
if the a soul inside a soul gem is needed, will i have to use an "imprison soul"spell of the mysticism school to do that, isn't it?
so,if i want to enchant a weapon will i need to get into arcane university ?
in the meanwhile can i only count on the magic weapon i find around oblivion, isn't it?

To recharge items you do indeed use filled soul gems, which you can fill using the Soul Trap spell, or an item enchanted with Sol Trap.

Yes, you do need to get into the Arcane Universty to enchant items, unless you have the Frostcrag Spire plugin.

Let's play in a more "convenient" way:
Spoiler
Get a powerful (this is preferred than poor, right? But any will do) enchanted weapon of your taste from a dungeon/Ob realm crawl (must have full charge & health, so, get it from a chest)-->don't use it yet!-->get another one (of the very same weapon, full charge & health too)-->if you follow me then you'll have stacked that weapon (there's a tiny number in it's icon)-->place it in a Hotkey-->when it's run out of charge, press the Hotkey (to unequip it), press it again (to equip the full one), and again (wow, the empty one is filled!)
I found this method after spending a lot of my precious Soul Gems, so I think you should know this before spending too much money/time/Soul Gems.

Soul Gems (especially those that contain Grand Soul) have other uses which is more fun and important than recharging your weapon. You'll know when you've reached the "member only" altar in the Arcane University (get the Recommendations first)
There is nothing you can't do, at least if you have enough patience to keep trying.
