Druids unite!

So I was wondering how many druid fans are out there? I am a druid maniac. Everything about them I love it. Mostly though, elves. Because no other race can use a bow.

So. I was wondering how many others out there are as for lack of a better word "obsessed" with druids as I am? I like other classes don't get me wrong. But my bread and butter is the druid. And even if you don't like them, I'd like to hear your opinions. Not for the sake of fighting about it buut. I'd just like to get to know everyone in this little comunity.

Why do you like the druids so much?

My brother loved to play druid too, I think it was because of the 'nature strikes back' theme.

I don't know really haha. For one I guess the elf druids can use longswoard and bows. That's nice. And the druid is easy to round out, with good fighting and good spells. Good buff and damage spells. What with barkskin and flame weapon for buffing. And Lightening storm and flame strike, fire storm, finger of death, there's also a spell does damage and if you kill the target it summons a water elemental, not sure of the name though. But that's just to name a few. The list could go on. And even if you focus more on the magic. The dire wildshape is nothing to sneeze at, along with the natural spell feat. You have a tank dire bear throwing around fire and lightning bolts. It's. Sexty haha. And plus I like their mellow, don't give a crap about much of anything other than nature attitudes. I'm not a tree huger or anything but I like their laid back ways of life haha. And I believe there are epic feats where you can wild shape into a dragon.

Try druid with high Wisdom and use Owl's Insight to make it even higher. Take one level of Monk to get Wisdom to AC. Now use the spell Mass Drown (with greater spell focus in that spell's school).

Wow I never used a monk before, I didn't know about the AC wisdom thing. I though about trying to maybe go over to a War Priest but I figured pure Druid would be best bet. But that's a good idea. I might try that.

1 problem is then you can't be an elf! (without xp penalty)

..there are some other niceties as well:

Body of the Sun can be persistent.

Plant Shape or better yet Elemental Shape can offer fantastic bonuses to attributes (attacks and damage), damage resistance (physical and elemental), AC - while still being able to cast spells (with the feat Nature Shape).

Those wild shapes also work exceedingly well with a Monk's flurry of blows, AC modifiers, AND -

..the prestige class Sacred Fist. (..though you should get at least to level 12 Druid for Plant Shape before selecting this class.)

Don't forget the fantastic feat Oaken Resilience either: temporary Immunity to Criticals.

True that I can't do the elf :/ do half elves get the long sword and bows? I know they, like human's have the any favored class.

Any class as favoured class, but no sword or bow.

It might be interestion to try though. I mean the spears and scimitars are still nice. But I think with the druid I'm using now I'll just stay pure. I'm kind of looking forward to the Dragon Wildshape and Dragon companion in epic levels.

And by the way Scottg yeah man I'm really only playng the OC right now and I have one character it's a druid. And I got the plant shape not long ago it's pretty sweet. And I have the Natural spell feat so I can still use spells. Recently I got the fire wall spell and fire storm. I hit the trent shape and then use barkskin (Ironic huh?) and then the chaos begins :mischief:
