after freeing the lord his guards are blocking the exit to the dungeon is there any way out?

That's never happened to me before. Try to back flip over them.

That happened to me when I played. I was able to back flip over them. I did have to reload from the spot where they were getting bottled up so that I got a clearer path.

This has happened to me at the top of the stairs, I either backflipped over them, or sometimes I 'hit' them with my weapon and they move..something to make them move I guess...maybe a gas cloud??

I had the guards get stuck at the top of the stairs once. It did not happen in the first few times through. I was unable to work around them. I had to go back to my previous save. Fortunately it was not that long since the previous save.

I did not think to try hitting them or a cloud spell or anything like that.

I had them clogged at the top of the stairs, too. I jumped on the left wall (there's an invisible ledge or something) and I jumped over them. Now I take my time releasing the guards so it doesn't happen again.
