How do I find Vera? ***spoilers***

Everytime I head to the hotel in rivet city, there's only the robot there. If I try picking Vera's lock, the robot starts firing... is it just a matter of patience? Help....

It's matter of patience. She could very well be travelling around Rivet. Just wait one hour, then check the hotel again.

Of course, if you have very bad luck, it's possible that Vera has died/teleported/disappeared. Never heard that happening outside Megaton, but I think it could very well happen in Rivet as well.

I found the best time to find her is in the morning around 7am game time if you get to rivet city before morning sit and wait(T button) The Robot will bug you once before the wait and once after the waiting. But within 5 or so minutes she will emerge from her room and you can talk to her.
