I am playing BG1 TuTu right now, would an archer kit ranger be a good choice for the original game? If so, what should his stat spread look like? Thanks.
Ranged weapons, especially bows, do great damage in BG1. An Archer will therefore be one of the most (over-)powered pc's you can create. He'll kill most opponents before they can reach him. In other words, if you like a challenge, pick another class or kit
An Archer needs strength, dexterity, constitution and wisdom. High wisdom is only for extra priest spells, which he'll get only at high levels, so you ignore wisdom. The other three are really important.

It's a mod that lets you play baldur's gate 1 in the baldur's gate 2 engine, among other things.
On a side note, does TuTu remove the ability to multiclass Imoen to Conjurer at level 2? I tried to click the "multi-class" button in her character screen but no go.
Wis and int are useless for an archer, cha offers better dialogues. If you have 18 str, dex, con and cha the character is perfect. For ranged combat I'd maximize longbows, one point in one weapon like quarterstaff is sufficient for melee.
