Where can you find the book or source of information to give you the beasteary entry necessary to collect the saliva?
Any book that talks about crypt or undead creatures. I can't remember their names, but their descriptions should mention the monsters you're looking for. As for where I get those books, I'd usually go for antiquarians or book merchants.

I think the bookseller in the market place of the trade quarter in act 3 sells the right book. But it might also be available in act 2 from the antiquarian in the market alley near Shani's house? Not sure on that one, tho.
If you take the time to rummage thru all of the houses & containers in every act, you can actually find nearly all of the books you need for free. Maybe 90% of them?
