What are some good tank spells to use?

Post by Morphx2 »

Hi, my kensai\mage got his kensai abilities back, and I was wondering what are some good spells he should memorize to use to enhance his offense and defense.

Thanks

Improved Haste, Red or Blue Fireshield (depending on opponent, Protection from magical(or normal) weapons, strength, improved inviso.
Lay all of those on yourself, and those kobold children will be no problem at all!

Stoneskin would be another.

...even the low level 'Mirror Image' comes in handy sometimes...

I thought I came in handy always...
Vicsun, I certainly agree with your assertion that you are an unpleasant person. ~Chanak

Not to mention Spirit Armour and Tensers Transformation.

When playing a Kensai/mage I always had a spelltrigger with Blur/Mirror Image/Stoneskin so that she could immediatly get into the combat without having to cast several protective spells first.

Tensers transformation on a Kensai/Mage is a bit silly though considering that you have more hitpoints than a dragon after you cast it.

My favourite kensai/mage spells are spirit armour, haste and imp inv.

There is one superb and underrated weapon that comes in very handy for kensais. It's a short sword (sorry forget name) that enables you to cast that wizard spell that makes multiple images of yourself. It is priceless in melee combat. I got it early in the game and kept it until the end even though I never drew blood with it. I would just duplicate my image, then go to work with my katanas and longswords. The sight of a katana duplicating herself and going into battle is truly awe-inspiring. I have not seen this tactic posted elsewhere on the list. Try it. It rocks.
