TOSC Problems
I finally finished BGI and started TOSC, but I can't import my characters. When TOSC starts I'm in Ulgoth's Beard, but with a computer generated party!!
I've tried unloading and reloading. I have TUTU installed. I get the message about loading my Final Save, but when I load that I get my party but Ulgoth's Beard is not on the map. I'm confused. I'm running Vista and the game has worked well up to now.
Thanks for any help.

ToSC isn't a separate game, it splices into BG1, there's no importing involved.
You should have installed BG!, then ToSC then any patches if relevant. When you start the game you should get the grey Baldur's Gate Tales of the Sword Coast loading screen. When you exit Candle Keep at the start with Gorion, Ulgoth's Beard should already be on the map, but none of the other extension areas.
Edit:
Something just occurred to me, did you install Baldur's gate, then install Tutu, play BG Tutu, then install ToSC?
If you did, then that won't work, you need to install BG AND ToSC first before installing Tutu.

That's exactly what I did.:speech: I guess I'll just have to start again. Not a bad prospect. Now I have a better idea how the game works.galraen wrote:ToSC isn't a separate game, it splices into BG1, there's no importing involved.

I can't believe this. When I reinstalled BG and TotSC, Ulgoth's Beard and Durlag's Tower were on the map so I thought I was OK. I finished all areas except those then went to Ulgoth's Beard. Everything seemed fine until I try to go to Durlag's Tower or speak with Mendas to go to Werewolf Island. The game asks for Disc 6. I put it in and absolutely nothing happens!!. Any ideas??? Do I need to defeat Sarevok first? That's the only thing I haven't done.

No, you are supposed to be able to do it anytime. I haven't actually finished the game (killed Sarevok) for years, but have had no trouble doing the TotSC quests.Lightning Rod wrote:Do I need to defeat Sarevok first? That's the only thing I haven't done.
Did you do a full install? If not put your game save(s) in a separate folder and try doing that.
Alternativey, download Easy Tutu (if you have Shadows of Amn) and install that. You may not be anle to continue from your save point in Tutu, but you should be able to import your character(s) if you so desire.
