I agree about the Bosmer. Even catches me off guard when I start new games and step too close without realizing it. D:

Sadly, I'm most frightened when someone near me talks and I didn't know they were there. >_> Dunmer have creepy voices, kay.

Well, I wouldn't call this a "scary moment" exactly, but I distinctly remember when I had only just installed the game for the very first time, and not long after stepping off of the boat a storm hit. My speakers were on relatively high and the sharp crack of thunder practically made me jump from my chair! :D

In the middle of the night, so I was quite tired and the sound was setted very low: Was roaming about, returning from some random cave and was making an easy ride toward the nearest town when I just turned around, don't remember why and there was that wild gwar with it's gaping maw that was jumping me.

I literally jumped on my chair, never saw this one coming, lol.

Scariest moment?

Everytime I accidentaly interact with an Ordinator and he would go ballistic on me for wearing their "sacred armor". And yes, I do have a bounty on my head for being caught stealing a bottle (stop snickering, it was for the bad people/Camonna Tong quest.)

Yeah, mine is pretty similar to that. I mean, I've been playing Morrowind on and off for years, but I just started up again today - and here's what went down.

I didn't want to start off with the same old grind.. You know how it goes.. Here, Caius, I brought you papers. Oh, join a guild? Okay. Hi guild. Orders. Advancement. Orders. Advancement. Orders. Advancement. Orders.. Oh, okay, I'll go join the Mages guild now..

No, I decided I'm going to explore and adventure this time. I'll join the guilds eventually, but I'm kind of having fun with it. Alright, getting to the point..

So I'm exploring some islands south of Seyda Neen, and I find a door leading to.. lets say.. "Assumessu", might as well of been, okay? Upon entrance, I immediately take notice of the red candles. Wonderful. I'm level one, and I just stumbled into a cultist cave - and what better than the one with the Robes of St. Roris? I use a spear, so I can keep a good distance from my enemies.. usually.. The corprus monster was surprisingly easy to down.. the ash slaves a little bit harder, but thank god I was born under the *THUNDER* atronoch.. Yatta yatta, I use a scroll of incarine (sp?) flight to leap over the fire elemental that would have easily melted my face. I get to lava land and sure enough, there's a filthy ass Dagoth .. let's call him Frank..

So my adrenaline is going, naturally, since I'm only level one and I'm face to face with something big and bad. I resisted all of his poison spells (Argonians FTW!!!) and end up beating him to death (slooooowely) with my spear. If it wasn't for his lovely little row of bells, I probably wouldn't have been able to .. ahem.. take advantage of poor monster pathing.. >_> <_<

Okay, that's my story. Scary, huh?

Probably the time I exploited the strength glitch (from corprus) to make my strength 300 and ran into a group of five greater bonewalkers...bye-bye 300 strength and 3 hours of my time...
How many times do I have to tell you? If you kill me, you get a simple glove. If not, you get a rare and valuable item, Wraithguard. Oh, but my soul is worth quite the sum.
Wait here. No, not over there. Right here. Okay. Yes, I am the Grand Champion.

Don't ever play in the dark...

When I first started playing the game, no mods, fresh out of the box, in my computer room... I had been playing for hours and hadn't noticed the time, and that the sun had gone down. I was in one of the Sixth House caves and creeping around a corner, when all of a sudden my wife whipped open the door, snapped on the overhead lights and yelled "HEY, ARE YOU OKAY IN HERE?" just as I rounded the turn into a bogey.
I thought I was suddenly thrown in front of a speeding train!! Everything on the desk went flying, my legs kicked straight out shooting me and my chair across the room, I screamed "SH!T" and nearly jumped out the window near to me which suddenly had my reflection in it so I swung a fist at it, and tried very hard to not wet myself. All of this commotion scared my wife screaming back out the door of which she still had ahold of the knob, slamming the door shut, which left me completely zombie-ized, and wondering "what-in-the-flying-circus-just-happened-here?" while I watched an Ascended Sleeper slap me to death.

Thus began HER weekly random ritual of entertainment... until I started turning on the lights and locking the door as soon as I went in the room, day or night.

Groovy..

Usually when you begin the game you get scared by something. As you exist Seyda Neen somewhere you'll find that bloody worm that scared me when I was paying attention and when I was a noob, I tried to kill it with a rusty dagger or so and it was beating the crap out of me, lol.
And of course the thunder is dreadful, especially if you have your volume higher :D

I had never played morrowind before, I started the game and wandered around Seyda Neen for a while, exploring. I then chose to have a look underwater. I turned around and saw three dreugh coming towards me. That scared me. Seems illogical now, but when I'd never seen them before I thought they were quite creepy.

That can be bloody scary. I was playing at about one in the morning. I left the game and went downstairs to get a drink. All the lights were of and I was creeping around so that I didn't wake anyone up. I came back upstairs and just as I sat down some dark elf, who apparently didn't like me, spoke to me, telling me to go away, and the first thought that went through my head was that it was my laptop talking ot me. I didn't expect it because I was out in the middle of the Grazelands (up near vos).
Scared the crap out of me, and made me spill my drink all over the floor. Seems pretty stupid, but you are right, they do have creepy voices, as do laptops.

I was around level 15 when I stumbled into the Balmora Sixth-House Lair. I had little trouble with it so I thought"Why not close all of the Sixth-House lairs" Well Next stop was Vivic. Hovered over the gorge to the main area, killed the Dagoth and was on my way out. I hit the door. Click-click. What, the door doesn't have a lock level. I'll try again again. Click-click. I guess I'll go to the other door. Click-click. No lock either. Whats going on? I looked around for another door. No doors. Great four-letter obcinity, I'm trapped. Panicing, I looked around for an escape. Nope. Out of sheer despairation, I used my scroll of Lock-Splitter on the door. Unlocked! Then I was out.

I had two scary moments in game. First one was in Tribunal, when the annoying Bosmer reappeared in full ebon armor and wanted me dead.

Second one was when one of my nukes (step 1 preview, step 2 preview) was launched but i didnt notice an npc very close ahead.. Which resulted in huge explosion and even louder sound before i had to reload.

It was all years ago, but i decided to share them with ya :)
