Selling goodies
I've been raiding a lot of caves and have found some pretty high dollar stuff I want to sell off, but most of the merchants don't have a ton of gold. Anyone have any recommendations for where to sell stuff in the 1k to 7k range?

I just keep all the really good stuff as some kind of "trophy" and still have more gold then I can ever spend!
But to answer your question, think that you need a MBA or any other master in trade, that you can invest in shops if you want to sell the high value stuff!
The aquisition of Wealth
One of the emersive things about RPG and certainly with Morrowind and it's successor Oblivion is the ability to leave the main game and go adventuring, for you never know what ye may find. I started off following the main game, got three quarters way through and decided to go off on a tangent. In your travels you aquire LOOT. What to do with it. Easy SELL IT and make lots of money and invest it in property, as I have done and buying houses in almost all towns, except the Imperial City. Why that should be such a hovel beats me. The advantages are, you have a place to store good loot and to rest without travelling long distances. In one such town, not only do you buy a house, but you aquire a femal servant as well. ( I'll let you find it for yourselves). So good adventuring and wealth building.
