Quallo/Lilarcor bug?

Post by HandsomeDevil »

I UTFS but I couldn't find the answer to my problem with completing the Quallo/Lilarcor quest. I've played before and I've completed it, so I'm a little confused now.

SPOILERS AHEAD...

I got the 4 items for the quest, gave them to Minsc (I'm playing a sorc), went to the pipes in the right order, saw the magic sword spinning at the end, but then Minsc says he doesn't have any room and my item is on the ground - only the item he drops is not the sword, it's the gnarly old hand you pull out of the sewer. But the other three items you need are gone. This has happened to me twice now. What did I do wrong?

I could go back to an earlier save game and do it again but I'd really rather not. Any ideas?

Did you check the inventory of your main character? The sword's usually created in just some persons inventory, not neccesarily the one who solves the puzzle.

Also, did you follow the correct order? 3-1-2-4?

If nothing helps, go back to an earlier savegame and let a character with more inventory space finish the puzzle.

You now bear the awesome responsibility of the Metal "Unit". Gussets of wind, seams like reality, pockets of resistance, the seat of power, and legs as flared as your temper. Polish it well; the onus is now on you.

Well, I checked the inventory and no one else has the sword. Oh well. Maybe I'll go back and try again, but right now I'm busy in the Sphere (probably a little too early for this quest, but I'm oh-so-close).

I'll either live without it or figure out how SK works so I can give it to Minsc. It isn't cheating if we already did the quest, right? ;)

Does Minsc in fact have room for the sword? Is the first problem that he has the room, and for some reason doesn't keep Lilacor?

By the way, you can use CLUA Console controls to simply materialize the sword in your inventory. If you want to go that route, just ask--since you've done everything right, it's not a cheat to get it in this fashion, at this point.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I have had the same problem. I just went back to the last auto-save (it was either the entrance to the sewers or entrance to Copper Coronet, can't remember).
"Korax thinks you look very tasty today...

Something definitely went awry. I just went back down to the sewers on another errand and Quallo is still there talking weird and the gnarly old hand I mentioned is still where I left it.

So I've CLUA'd in the sword. Take THAT Quallo!
