After reading the walkthru, I did exactly as suggested.....left Cassidy in the VP's office, closed the door, and took out Pres. Richardson with one shot. Didn't seem to matter - all the guards came after me anyway. What's the deal; I was supposed to be home free ???? (I'm playing PC version). Is the walkthru wrong (again) or did I miss something??

Ok, let me get this straight: do you want to kill president without anyone turning hostile? Then superstimpaks are my answer, as always. I mentioned this in another thread here already, but I'll repeat: use several superstims on mr. president, then rest for some time and voila - he lies on the floor in a pool of his own blood. And no one noticed nothing.

My complaint was with the walkthru...I did what it said without the right results. Re. the sstims...how many is " several" ???....I only have 4 and the walkthru says I'd need 8 ????

I don't believe you need 8 to kill him, but use all you have. Also, I know your complaint and I believe the walkthrough is incorrect on this one. As for other methods, I haven't got a clue, unless you want to fight like 50 enclave soldiers?

EDIT: Have you tried sneak attacking? Try to get him in your first sneak attack round (DON'T FORGET TO CLOSE THE DOORS!)

Walkthrough isn't wrong, I never used stimpaks on The President.Just close the door, turn SNEAK on, enter combat mode, kill him, quit combat mode.Easy as that.Nobody comes after you.

I guess you're right. Never tried this to my shame
