Locked out of the Shadow Runes.

I entered the Shadow Runes in the battlefield of the dead and left before completing it. The shadow around the door disappeared and I can't get back in. Can anyone give advice.

This is an unfortunate bug in the game. You're going to need to load a saved game from before leaving the Shadow Ruins and play from there. Or perhaps you can use the saved game editor (see the stickied thread in this forum) to change your position back into the ruins, but I have no experience with that.

The editor's character level limit is 25, so if your character is above 25, you'll lose levels (but this doesn't affect stats, skills, etc).

There is also a problem that sometimes arises when editing your location between the world, inside buildings, inside dungeons, and inside Fargrove. I don't know if inside the Shadow Temple is included in this. If there is, you may have to save in a building or dungeon in order to edit into the Shadow Temple.

You could try editing another shadow crystal (the one you had received in order to open the gate in the first place) into your inventory. Of course, if the old one is still on the altar, that wouldn't do you any good.

I just started over. I have beat the game this time.I saved at the Fiend of Ghazbu in the Tomb of Souls. I've gone back over and over again in multiplayer mode and used the cataclysm spell to kill the Fiend. I'm 253rd level now. I really enjoyed this game flaws and all. Cant wait for DL II.
