HK-47 Possible Spoiler

Post by darth pwnage »

I dont care much for droids besides asto droids, but HK-47's previous locked history does get my attention. I have unlocked the memory of his owner just before mine. But i do not use HK and it would be a waste for me to use the few skill points i get on finding out his history. Can anybody here tell me all of his previous owners? I know he is a large part in star wars history. Being the father of GOTO's HK-50's and Czerka's HK-77's.

He was made by Revan and then you buy him on Tatooine, so only Revan really.
But on KotOR II you rebuild him and the Exile gets him.

After Malak supposedly destroyed Revan, HK47 tried to assassinate Malak. Because of this Malak had him Memory-Wiped, Dissassembled and then Launched overboard. Luckily the ship was in orbit near Tatooine at the time. Over time the pieces were collected by the ithorian and reassembled in his work shop.

Of course thats probably not the true story, but i think it fits, seen as though HK47 liked to refer to Malak as a Meatbag a lot.

Stop post things you don't have a clue about, please.

HK have had like 5-6 owners between the time Revan get him back, from the top of my mind it was mandalore (This was when he was memory wiped/reprogramed, he failed to assasinate mandalore), a ganglord, a czerka office guy that assasinated all his bosses and some more random guy (Think he was a senate member) that wanted to kill his wife because she was cheating on him, but at the last minute changed his mind and took the bullet for the wife, sometime after that HK was scrapped and the Ithorian found him, don't remember the detalis since it was pretty long since i played the game, but if you google HK history or something you wil probaly find out the whole thing. Or you could always replay the game with more skill focus on repair, the game is worth it to play multiple times

You haven´t upgraded HK-47 completely? A meatbag will surely pay...

Well, Lentzen is pretty much dead on. A Hutt, a senator, a Czerka official and a Mandalorian owned him previously. Revan apparently built him to start with, but apparently lost him. However, even if Malak disassembled HK-47 and chucked him overboard, his memory core is still shielded, so he couldn´t have his memory wiped. His memory loss comes from poor assembly of his frame, hence regained memory with each repairjob.

And as far as I seem to remember, HK-47 wasn´t even present when Malak tried to kill Revan, so... but I could be wrong about that one. But I seem to remember that HK-47 tells Revan that he shuts down every time his current master dies. So maybe he just shut down, believing that Revan died, when Revans flagship was assaulted, and was found by an (un)lucky soul and sold off. HK-47´s damage and memoryloss would probably be from "injuries" that he sustained in the employment of its masters after Revan. But I can´t really remember if that´s it.

But skillwise, you can with available items and attributebuffs in the game fix HK-47 completely with a Repairskill of 9, if you´re Dark Side, and 10, if you´re Light Side, and if your Intelligence is 14. I did read somewhere that you can´t fix him up completely after he finds out that you´re Revan, his original master. Meaning that you can´t use those nifty glasses with the +7 to Repair that you can buy on the Yavin Space Station to repair him, which would otherwise allow you to fix him completely with a Repairskill of 2 or 3. Those glasses become available AFTER HK-47 learns about Revans true identity. Bugger.

*edit*
From Sherwin Tams Gameplay Guide:

Repair 8
Dexterity +2

Repair 11
Defense +2

Repair 14
Regenerate 1 VP per 6 seconds

Repair 17
Regenerate 1 VP per 3 seconds, Dexterity +2

Just to give an idea what you´re missing out of, if you don´t upgrade him. Well, if you´re not going to use him, I guess you´re not missing anything per se, but still...

No, he didn't think Revan died. Revan sent him on an assassination mission into Mandelorian space. There HK malfunctioned and ended up becoming the property of a Mandelorian.

You know what, I'm not sure which story to Believe. The one where Revan's the only master, or where Revan's the first out of Six.

HK had 4 or 5 masters after revan. And not useing Hk is missing out of alot of funny things. I always stop to pick him up right away and i use him bout 70% of my game time. I even had a repair skill cuz of him too.
