Morrowind Newbie

Post by darth pwnage »

Ive had Morrowind for years now and have never actually gotten into the game but after beating KotOR I & II like 4 times each, i wanted to try it out again. But I just dont really understand the game. does anyone know like a website or something that can help me get my bearings? Does GameBanshee have a walkthrough?
thanks-

Have you checked the GameBanshee Morrowind page? It's just a click away, under Banshee Network, on the upper left. ;)

As for other pages, the key to Morrowind is...mods. There are literally close to 10,000 mods out there. And if you have the RAM, you can play as many as you reasonably want, at one time. I personally play with 200+. Mods can add dozens of quests, new cities, new NPCs, new dialog, houses and furnishings you can buy, companions to join you on your trips, new spells, new graphics, reconfigured difficulty levels, etc.

Mythic Mods is a sort of meta-mod site, with dozens of links to some of the best Morrowind mods.

And be sure to check the top two forum stickies here for their contents.

Xbox? Damn. No, you can't. At least, not on Morrowind.

If you do run Windows on a PC, I would strongly urge you to consider buying Morrowind for the pittance it costs--once you've decided whether you like it or not on the Xbox. :)

But if you have any questions, feel free to ask. First, check the advanced search function on the upper right, though, just to see if your questions have already been answered in the forum. We've stored a lot of content in here.

I second getting it on PC. As well as mods you get much faster loading times. The speed the xbox loads Morrowind at is terrible.

The Gamebanshee Morrowind stuff is great for wal;kthroughs and locations of some pretty nice stuff but a better place for the more generic things would be the Unofficial Elderscrolls Pages. Just Google UESP.
