stuck in Game of Dice (spoilers)

Post by evilwillow »

I started playing dice in chapter II. I played with Zoltan, Carmen, the gambler in the Hairy Bear Inn and the gardener. According to my quest log I beat the gardener and should look for other people to play with. I beat Carmen like a dozen times but it would seem that wasn't enough?! So I got fed up with that quest and progressed to chapter IV yesterday after finding that I couldn't play with Vaska in chapter III anymore, which is when I first had a look at the walkthrough. So basically my question is if there's any way I can start playing with professionals without loading the game in an earlier chapter, and what did I do wrong that prevented me from advancing in the quest in the first place?

Merry Christmas everyone

I found gambling pointless, but after three victories by as many people (3), I think you are supposed to talk to Zoltan.

If you've looked at our walkthrough, then you saw the list of people you can play for the quest. All of the professionals are in chapters 2 and 3, so if you're in chapter 4 then you don't have any way to continue.

I'm not sure what you did wrong, if anything. It sort of sounds like you just didn't play any of the professionals when you had the chance.
