which scheme

Post by TechChris »

hey guys, i'm new to the forum but played arcanum for a bit now.

OK, so, while choosing a scheme to use i normally go Tech more than magic. however i always play a gunner. at the moment my fave is the gun technologist, but realised that Lugard Bloodstone tech is way more extensive. the gun tech focuses mainly on guns, firearms, perception and endurance. but Lugard focuses more on guns, electricity, and mechanical. which is the better choice i wonder. oh and i normally play human male "raised by monks (+1 perception, quarter starting wealth).

Are you talking about the level-up schemes? I'd never use of those, and instead do everything myself.
In Arcanum, no matter what you play, DX is THE most important stat, since it determines how much you can do in a round.
As for which scheme is better, I can't say. Depends on what you need. Gun, Electricity and Mechanical are all good Disciplines. Guns, well, for the Guns, Electricity for the rings, and Mechanical for the Helmet of Goggles (The one that gives +3 PE) and eventually the Arachnids.
