Hey. Here is one place i havent been in ages, but some of you might remember me. Was active here some years ago.
For those of you who remember me, id say that ive grown quite a bit more mature since my first posts here

I currently find myself in the city of Tacloban, in the Philippines, working with streetchildren in the “worst” areas. Im working for a humanitery organization named Streetlight. (streetlight.org)
The reason im bringing that up here, is that the person that started this organization (Erlend Johannesen) has been nominated to a “person of the year” award in Norway. I want you votes for him

Yes it might be “cheating”, as you lot prolly aint Norwegian, and blablaabla, blalblabala, But the thing is, the winner will get a lot of attention in media etc, and that is truly extremely good PR for the organization, which again helps it grow. Id stretch as far as saying that Streetlight will have more use of this award than the alternatives. Any opportunity I get to make life here slightly easier for the kids, ill snatch. So that’s the reason for the cheap play

While im at it, I might as well mention that we are in dire need of new sponsors for the children

This organization is funded mostly by Norwegian funds, and since the economy crisis, and the drop of prices on oil, the Norwegian valuta (NOK) have dropped immensely. The exchange rate to Philippine peso (PhP) has changed from 9.0 to 6.9. This have had a big impact on our economy , and a big impact on the sponsored children, as their monthly donation from their sponsors have become worth less.
Also it’s a lot of children who are lacking sponsors. And believe me, the sponsors really do make a difference. Not only because of the money part, but because of the letters. Feeling that someone cares can be worth so much more than material gains.

There's really not any other good candidates for the "trønder of the year" award other than Aud Steinsbekk on that list. So my vote goes to Erlend Johannesen.
