2nd Tier Class Choices

Post by ve6tp »

Hi:

My status is: Completed Adept
Completed Celestial

When looking at my options for the next class, I can only select Stargazer which is the follow through for Celestrial.

I would rather be able to select my 2nd Teir 2 class of Paladin, but that option does not show.

Can I not have that choice now or do I have to select Stargazer and plug along finishing that line of class and when it is completed then I can select the path for Paladin?

I'm tired of "middle Armour" and can not use heavy Armour until I'm a Paladin.

What options do I have please??

Thanks

You may only have one 2nd tier class stemming from adept. You choose celestial so you cannot choose paladin (or monk)

You may have another second tier class stemming from your other tier 1 class. Fighter, thief, or mage.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

Hi Claudius:

Thank you so much for your help. I guess I have misunderstood the process.

I was under the impression you could only have (1) Tier 1 Class and from that, you could do (2) 2nd Tiers.

Lets see if I have this right now ....

I can do: ADEPT/CELESTRIAL/STARGAZER

and also do: FIGHTER/MARAUDER/DEATHLORD

Do I have that right? If so I'd have to go to a Fighters Guild and get that started?

Thanks again.

You can only have one third tier class.

You can either do:
ADEPT/CELESTRIAL/STARGAZER
FIGHTER/MARAUDER

or:
ADEPT/CELESTRIAL
FIGHTER/MARAUDER/DEATHLORD

Also (this isn't an issue with what you posted, but just FYI), you cannot have two second tier classes from the Eastern houses, or from the Sisterhood.

Hi Cionaoith :

It has finally sunk through. I understand now.

Thank you so much for your help and especially your patience with me. Seems the older I get the stupider (is there such a word?) I get.

Best regards,
Tru

I'm getting older too :)

We are actually getting smarter :) but as a consequence of that we are realizing how much we don't know!

Deathlord has steep requirements on armor. It is hard to qualify without 4 learning bonuses for armor. You can do it if you want but you'll have to spend some time 'farming' xp in an area with a lot of xp. I can suggest some areas, but didn't want to spoil any surprise for you.

Stargazer won't have as much problem on requirements. I haven't tried much of the celestial magic aside from the fire ward so I can't offer much advice but I hear it can be pretty decent.

You got that right! Weapons, too! Heavy armor, heavy shields, heavy weapons all at 10! I made a Fighter/Marauder/Mage/Battlemage, and going for Deathlord the tenth points in those three categories were roughly 850k each (human male, 98 Intellect).

I was getting older a few years ago. I think I'm just plain old now. I might even have to start spelling it, "olde." :D

i have personally used almost every skill in the celestial class (legit skills)with my paladin/wizard lvl155 zaur. the divine intervention spell (the only celestial minion) is awsome. it has 2 types of attacks and a ton of hit points. with mid 20's or higher arcane magic and i think lvl15 spellfire they live through at least 2 blast nova's(roughly 100+ dmg each). i have never seen one of these things killed on a 1 on 1 fight. with celestial lvl's in the upper teens the protection wards stay on for about 5 min and you can use the levitation from arindale to moonbeast island and run around with it with time to spare. the lightning does get kinda powerful at higher lvl's around 20dmg per click, but i find the lack of range to be dissapointing. i have used the divine strike and find it does help for accuracy, and if your fighting something undead like the ancients(what ever is inside the palace test) it adds a few extra points of damage. the vision spell is awsome for travel i never run through a new area without it on. with a high lvl scout you can see monsters about a minute worth of run away from you. with 120 points into vitality 1 use of the crystal of healing with lvl 16 celestial magic can basically give me a full heal. the others i did not mention work like their supposed to. i have never found prismatic rays, i hear its bugged anyways, blink, regeneration, divine cure, or divine grace. i will try to hack these into a hacked char to see if they work. i have never had blessed spirit work for me i dont know if it only comes down when im hurt or if its multiplayer only or what the deal is. if anyone knows about this skill please tell me. well anyways i hope this helps you with your celestial magic.

The blessed spirit summons the same as divine intervention. She is unarmed, and only follows you around to heal you. If you are never hurt, then she doesn't have a job.

Wow

i think when i tried blessed spirit i was too low of a lvl for it to cast or i was getting interupted while trying to cast is because i have gotten it to cast and now i love it. well it kinda sucks when i cast a nova and it dies too but the fact that it keeps me alive when im getting interupted is awsome!!! i do wish they lived through my nova's a little better though.

Quick question about class choices, i was thinking of going Paladin/Knight would this screw me over?

Since both those classes give me pretty similar bonuses, Would i be handicapping myself alot by not spreading out my abilities?

Or do bonues stack on one another?

The learning bonuses stack, so Knight / Paladin is a fine choice.
