But but... hangover involves alcohol!
Unless you have moral hangover, that's another story.

*orders big plate of pancakes and syrup*

When I used to drink, I noticed that the best way to avoid hangover is to wake up while you are still drunk. That's because while you are still drunk, it's much easier to eat and drink coffee than when sober and having hangover, thus you won't get one. :D

Ah, the revenge of dwarves! I have a theory where if you drink alcohol, those tiny little dwarves have to work much more to keep you at least in some kind of balance while you walk and you speaking at least remotely understandable, thus they have no time beer themselves. When you wake up, they have their revenge by hammering your skull with their warhammers. The worse you headache, the angrier they are and more force they use. :D

DW, I must admit it's a little weird to see people party like crazy over something as arbitrary as election results. Hooray, you put another loony in charge of things, best of luck with that! What's next, jury duty toga parties? Tax return orgies?

DW, I find that sometimes to mark a special occasion sometimes you just want the glow to last forever. But actually the next morning it is much less a glow and more a painful vice of misery.

Champagne is nice on a special occasion though...hey wine is a romanic high and the bubbles make it more heady and seem more like a peek moment because it is delivered faster.

Remember: beer is mellow wine romantic tequila felonious

What hangover? :D

New Year's Eve strictly with family. The get-together with friends was a day before that, hence the pre-New Year hangover.

I actually managed to reflect upon the fact that people drink themselves senseless the last day of the year and starting the next feeling like... well crap. :D

That is very unusual for me. I'm usually one of those who feel like crap on January 1st. :p

I think this is a good place to announce the formation of my new faction, the

Tandoor

Cult
for Kind
Yetis...

...otherwise known as TACKY. We will be taking over the world in the name of not really carrying one way or the other about taking over the world, and when we have it, we'll probably feed it a few bits of cheese and let it go again. We also plan to put two tandoor chickens in every pot. Guarded by yetis, of course.

Celebrate and join! Oh, and contribute!

Fable, you will have a terrible hangover tomorrow, and maybe worse than a hangover. I suggest you stop drinking right now. Right. Now.

Meanwhile, sign me up. Is you cult on the Dark side or on the Light side of the Force?

lmao @ LD :D Glad you said it, because I was thinking it... ;)
But hey, I'm all for aligning myself with the dark side if that's an option!

I also wanted to mention, since it seems a good occasion, that we ended up finding an excellent bottle of sparkling wine. It's called Veuve du Vernay, and is actually produced right across the river from the Champagne region. So... they can't call it "Champagne," but it is just as good and comes with a much lower price tag, as in $14 Cdn :D Highly recommended!

I normally don't care for sparkling wines, but even I enjoyed this

This is what comes of not drinking. Terrifying, isn't it? :)

Yes. You have discovered the Equivocal Side of the Force!

More or less.

Equivocal or Equinoctial?

Equivocal is the drunken end of the Force spectrum, I think.

Maybe we should consult a lawyer.
