Inventory/Examining objects in Baldurs Gate 2

Post by lead341 »

Hi,

though I had played this great classic many years ago, I started all over - expecially since I hadn´t played the addon. I have got two gameplay-questions:

1. As somebody used to Neverwinter Nights, is the inventory of the characters restricted to two inventory rows when opening "I" - inventory? Or is it possible to extend the inventory later in the game?

2. In Neverwinter nights as well as Planescape Torment it was possible to examine objects, persons or monsters from the outside (by right-clicking and then go on "examine" and receive a description) - can one do that in Baldurs gate 2?

Thanks in advance

You cannot extend your inventory to have more than sixteen slots, however, there are a few containers that allow you to store other items within them.

The examination in BG2 is very situational. Sometimes, when you trace your cursor over an object, a little question mark will appear instead of your cursors and if you click then, you'll get a description of that object. Some other descriptions and observations will be given to you in dialog text.
“The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially.”
