F2 Hostile Ghouls in Gecko

Hey There!
I recently descided to replay my old favourite F2, I am playing the unpatched version by mistake, first noticed it was unpatched after several hours of gameplay and didnt feel like restarting.

However I have a problem. In Gecko I get attacked randomly by random Ghouls without any apparent reason, Now i am in Good standing with Gecko, im not a child killer, Grave Digger or anything else. My karma is about 600 i think and ive solved all gecko quests in the good way.

I also seem to recall i had the same problem first time i played it something like 8 years ago, tho in revenge i blew up the reactor.
Enough about that tho

anybody know what might be wrong? Are they attacking me only because im a "Smoothskin", or what?

It is a known bug, and it has no significant meaning. Patch fixes it and the unpatched game has lots of these bugs.
