I'm in the process of trying to buy a new PC, and wanted some opinion on which video card to have. I keep seeing the same PC with 2 different cards. 1 has a ATI Radeon HD 3650, the other one a Nvidia Geforce 9500. Both have 512MB.
Is this much difference between the 2?

They're about the same.
I'd recommend you actually go with the ATI due to crossfire capabilities. Basically crossfire means if you buy another ATI Radeon HD 3650 with 512 megabytes of ram, you can connect both together and get better performance out of that graphical capability. From what I've seen, Nvidia doesn't have this possibility.

Nvidia cards also have that capability. It's called SLI. Nvidia came out with that mechanic since the Geforce 6 days and ATI followed suit months later with their CrossFire. Anyway, since you want to know the difference between the two cards, I did some reading and found that the 9500GT is faster than the 3650 ([url="http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=596&type=expert&pid=3"]link[/url]).

Ah...did not realize that. I thought SLI was a new type of card slot, not the ability to link them together but meh.
