Different Characters
When playing NWN 2 FR, MotB and SoZ, which is better creating your character New in each game or Carry over a Character that you created in FR.
For the OC you create a level one character. Also SoZ....its level one.
The only decision is to continue with your OC character or try something new... If you are attached to your character and have some affection for them I would continue them in MoTB.
But on the other hand if you are a powergamer probably the optimal level 20 builds aren't going to be optimal at level 30. For example with perfect two weapon fighting and 15 d6 elemental damage a dual wielding fighter is very powerful in MotB. The same cannot be said in the OC unless they have sneak attack to add more damage/hit. And speaking of that in 20 levels strengther rogues are actually quite nice because they can still damage undead with high damage/hit rather than dual wield. In MotB with epic precision, expose weakness, and epic dodge strengther rogue becomes a poor decision.
Another example is the gish Eldritch Knight. In OC a 16 BAB Eldritch Knight with 9th level spells is pretty darn nice. But by MotB you can still complete the game with such a character but in the end they cannot get any more than 9th level spells and they are a poor caster AND melee because they lack focus...

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
Personally, I think it's fun to complete MoTB with a character started in the OC. It gives the character a more authentic feel. It's always a bit strange, to start off with a level 17 character you've put no work into.
In terms of min/maxing and optimizing, it doesn't really matter. Almost all level 20+ character are ungodly powerful.
