Favorite follower?

Post by Belthan »

Who's your favorite follower and why? I really like Charon for his sardonic personality and proficiency with his combat shotgun. Although it's hard to argue with Fawkes, for his resiliency, laser minigun, and the way he chuckles with glee when I decapitate somebody.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

Probably, Dogmeat. For some reason, I'm a sucker for the lone wanderer out in the wasteland with nothing but his dog theme. Of the others, Fawkes is probably my favorite. I liked the mini-guns and my brief foray into his backstory/personality. I do wish all of the character's back stories and personalities were flushed out a bit more thoroughly. But, I suppose, that's not a strength of Bethesda.

D. None of the above.

For me, companions got in the way more than they helped, and I barely ever used them.

Companions hold me back from really exploring the wasteland. For example, they can't jump and so if I jump down from a high rock, they have to run around until they find me... Sigh.

But I did like Fawkes and Charon. They are the only decent fighter companions. I found it a real shame that the companions are all so blank. No conversations with them about their past or anything. A shame.

I completed the game without a single follower.. I couldn't find any, except for Fawkes..

And didn't use him either, got tired of his ways of attacking people, just rushing up, with his big gatling laser.. I perfer being a bit more stealthy..

Now I'm doing all the other stuff in the game I didn't get to try at first, and im running around with Star Paladin Cross, because of her Power Armor, and the Super Sledge. :D
