delayed harpers

Hey,

I'm roughly 49 "days" into the game and the harper quests haven't started yet. I did all the Jaheria stuff quite a while ago, and I've triple checked i haven't missed any stage. I'm sure I've never waited this long before! plus its caused the jaheria romance to hang i think as it was all going lovely, yet i haven't had a romance dialogue in ages.

Any clues?

Letting us know what your Lovetalk value is might help. You can find this using Shadowkeeper, or in-game using CLUAconsole.

using shadowkeeper, i have 783845 for my jahera romance, and 1 for jahera romance active. im pretty sure its the fact that the harper quests haven't kicked in. im about to go belt bodhi for the second time and nothing has happened yet; the harper quests should really be coming to a close right now - not just starting

Its best if you know your LOVETALK value, which lets you know how far along in the romance you are. Select Jaheira in shadowkeeper and click on "Affects"; I think it should be under there if its not under the Global Variables tab. Also, you can check it in the game, I think the command is:

CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("LOVETALK","locals")

Do you remember if you ever had the bandit encounter, where Jaheira is briefly taken hostage? Its one of the events that occur before you meet the Harpers, and the bandit event not triggering has stalled the romance before for me.

Do you have the official Throne of Bhaal patch installed? It has the fixed version of the romance, as before the Jaheira romance was pretty broken.

Since you're in Chapter Six, and probably want to finish the romance before killing Bodhi, once the problem is solved you can trigger the next romance dialogue by setting the timer to zero:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraRomance","GLOBALS",1)

thankyou for that. i rushed it all in with lots of shadowkeeper tweaking before Suldensessalar (sp?)... quite a useful tool. just taken it all the way through TOB as well. thanx
