Hey, have you noticed that when you turn someone into your doormat and/or area rug, that when you have guests over they tend to stare at it a lot?
I'm convinced it's the textures, and certainly not the smell. Nothing seems to smell in Oblivion. The world is clearly populated by people who have sinusitis. I can empathize.
#00: Hey, Fable! Did you feel like going to Jauffre and asking him who he gave your stuff to? Or go to the Blades and say, "Okay, Brothers and Sisters! Ha! Ha! Funny! Pick on the new member, I get it! Now, where's my stuff that you took and hid from me?
I figured they had a policy of "what's ours is yours, and what's yours, is ours." A strange sort of communal approach to guildcraft, when you consider the late Renaissance merchant capitalism that exists everywhere. But hey, it's their guild, at least, until I get to the top. If there's no way to change how things are run, I'm going to get pretty pissed. And I don't mean on their decent wine cellars, either.

Where was I? Oh, yes. Guild Storage/Item Ownership is pretty nice, since the corpses are removed regularly. I find that a nice, solid guild chest, with a gold embossed plate that has the word in 40 point Gothic bold, MINE, works wonders. I've got one in the Fighters' Guild, and one in the Mages'. Nobody touches them, except periodically to give me some healing and fatigue potions. That's nice of them! Even if they're marked "Demo only, not to be sold in retail." Besides, I use them when I go to dungeons to liberate items that were meant for my collection. Come in handy, they do. :)

Well, yes, my father seems unable to smell anything, compared to me, where I seem to be allergy sensitive! But, hm. The rats smell that cheese. There's a certain female Khajiit that won't go into the water because of Argonians. There's some guy that wants to eat my character's eyeballs, but I don't know if it is scent related. There's an Orc that treats you like a cat and I don't know if that is scent related or not. But so, yeah, you're right! People seem to have a lack a sense of smell, outside of Kvatch that is!

I have that one somewhere and I don't know where it went! I've had to re-install several times and not always because I killed a computer and had to get a new one. :( But it was very handy indeed. It might be in hiding with the "World Chest" mod that I lost too.
Shhh! Be very quiet! I may be sleep writing and sleep reading!

Oops!

That quote system didn't work out for me this time! What did I do wrong? :o

Here's the Guild Storage mod, and here's Guild Ownership, which includes Guild Storage and also makes grabbing things in guilds a matter of faction reputation. If you grab stuff above your level of access while somebody is watching, you'll end up thrown out of the guild! I prefer the challenge: how long can I stand being followed about by some platemail-wearing toady before I fry him inside his armor, late at night? In my current game I'm not that far along, so I don't have a one-shot spell that will do the job. He lives. For now. :)

World Chest? Can't say I've ever heard of it. Did it turn the entire universe into a storage chest? I rather like that idea.

Hey, Fable thanks a lot! I hope they won't conflict with "Fighters Guild Unite!" that gives the FG people uniforms, like the MG has a uniform, the DB has a uniform, and the MD, and the uh... er, uh.... BLACKWOOD?! No, that isn't quite right is it? But anyway, nifty armor uniforms come with that mod!

I have a mod that places a chest in the DB Santuary for when you become the new Listener. Instead of having a "Black Hand" set of clothes, it comes with a "Listener's Robe & Hood" set that is supposedly better.

Looks like I might have to make some tough choices.

Anyway, the "World Chest"! Heheh! Yeah, the modder said that he wasn't quite satisfied with the mods for the "Bag of Holding", the "Bag of Light", and the "Purse of Wonders". So with his mod, you buy from Calindel a "World Chest". It then magically appears in every non-mod home, plus at "Cloud Ruler Temple", by the fireplace. You can also buy scrolls that summon it to you when you are out of a home, so that you can add to it, or take from it. At least with it, you won't accidently drop it, loose it, or sell it!

But if I recall, it conflicted with a mod that improved the shack that you buy. The chest would appear in it too, but under a stool that you're meant to sit on at the table. (There was some TLC fun to be had, for if you walked through the walls, you'd find the original design, simply displaced in black space! But looting it, messed up the replacement's food spawns!)

Good luck with it!

Have you checked out the All In One Basement? It's literally a single, very large basement that is available through all the official houses. Comes with a garden, an alchemy center (complete with sorting and auto-retrieve ingredients by effects) and plenty of display cases. I don't use it, because I prefer the gaudily named Lavish Mage Tower of Alchemy Power. Despite all the carefully arranged books falling over, damn you, Havoc Engine! Might suit your needs, though. Doesn't conflict with any of the official stuff, and if you've got two official houses, it's the same basement for both of them.

Frenzy is your friend, my first priority when I get access to a spellmaker:

Berserkergang: Frenzy max magnitude for five seconds on target.

It's cheap, novice level, and trains Illusion nicely. May take a few shots to get him going, and make sure friends are about, can be quite profitable too.

Whoa, Fable! Whoa! What? That's what it does?! Hm. I thought I read that it makes all NPC basements the same to make it easier for thieves to get around in! :o I'll have to check it out, again, and read more carefully this time! :p Thanks for the clarification, Fable!

But now I have one too! Ahem. I have the "Vanity Table" mod too. But it was meant to work with non-modded homes, for it placed the one in the I.C. Waterfront Shack up against the wall, next to the fireplace's right. But in the modded version, it was up against the table. So that was why I undid the modded version of the shack! The World Chest was still accessable under the chair, it just didn't make sense. That was for the modded house too. I don't know where it goes in the plain one. But now that I have the "Face Exchange Program" I don't need the "Vanity Table" mod. So that's why I unchecked it.

I have the "Alchemy & Armory" mod that attaches a mini-portal to the front of each normal home, and it looks like a large doorbell button! It comes with an Alchemy Lab, an Armory Forge, and display rooms. I've also got one of two TARDIS mods. Right now it it parked in the I.C. Market District. Supposedly if I figure out the controls, I can travel from place to place. Right now though, I can't get past the overwhelming sound that it makes when materializing! It seems to be stuck in that mode! VERY LOUD too! It comes with a Companion name "Benno" whose Inventory contains a new Alchemy ingrediant called, "Stinky Sperm", that looks the same as Troll Fat I think. The mod is called, "Benno's House" I think.

Whoa whoa whoa lemme get this strait... with this mod all official houses are connected to one basement? and it includes various extras like alchemy set and display cases? How big is this basement exactly? I need to know because im tired of running from house to house and storing all the good stuff in that god forsaken battlehorn castle.

Just check out the link. Read the description, and look at the screen captures. That should give you an idea that it's pretty big. ;)

Oh, no wonder my screen locked up! You were also posting! :p I tried to reply earlier, but I had to disconnect. Now I see why. Heheheh.

But anyway, yes, at least my characters. I've also noticed that when I have my girls jump up and down in place, the people nearest them, their heads will bob up and down as they watch. If in third person, my girls' heads will track the movements of anyone near them also moving, or otherwise they will stare back at the cloest person watching them. I can imagine the onlookers saying, "Yeah, baby! Jiggle those breasts! Jump for me! Jump! Where do I place my Septim?"
