Fighter/Weapon Master/Dwarven Defender.

Post by Darth Malignus »

How many levels should I get for each of these classes to be most effective? Now, I figure that I´ll need at least 7 levels of Fighter or so, before the Weapon Master becomes available, but then what? I´m not really sure what to go for. Better Damage Reduction or more AB for the weapon of choice, which I´m also not sure what should be.

Any suggestions? And, are there any advantages in picking any more fighter levels after lvl 7, like extra feats or so?

My opinions are...

General consensus to Weapon Master levels is that it must be 7. Less makes it quite a waste, more is not all that desirable since +1 AB every now and then to a multiclass combination that would almost mean that your AB = character level and would also place importance on STR to boot is quite moot....

I've quite forgotten what the Defender requirements are, but you would want to take up only enough Fighter levels to meet either prestige requirements then focus on the Defender solely once you've reached 7 Weapon Master levels.

If you will be playing in Epic levels, taking an even Fighter level at character level 21 or later would be a good idea to get that Weapon Specialization feat that is only available as a Fighter Bonus Feat for Epic level characters that meet the requirements for the feat.

Consideration between Fighter and Defender levels would be split between DR and feats; with the former a usually good go for level 40 goals, and the latter if you want to get those lofty feats earlier.
