I suppose this is a rather 'out-of-date' thread given how long the game has been out and how long I've played it off and on...
But, I've actually played my current game quite intensely, and owing to the various mods that I've installed (like Adventurers 3.0) I'm still finding it challenging at level 35, hence the 'boredom/start a new character/add even more mods/completely break my game' syndrome hasn't really kicked in, and I'm probably getting more out of Morrowind than I ever have before.
So... I'm noticing things more acutely too... and the phrase uttered so often by Nords, "Seen any elves?" has really started to grate. It always irritated me, probably because I usually play elves or half-elves (Bretons), but this time it seriously gets on my nerves.
So, is it just me?

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Spoiler

... Nords are mean. ;____;
For some reason "Seen any elves?" irritates me so much more though, perhaps because it is also accompanied by that horrible laugh, as though they actually think they are being humorous.
Also, it's somewhat race specific. Whereas the other line, while obnoxious, is pretty generic.

I usually play as a wood elf, and nords seem to say that to me. a lot. but its not only the nords that are race specifc. Ive heard lots of insults directed at arigonians too. and for that matter, nords themslves. In fact, I'm pretty sure that there are race specific insults for every race, but I dont know that for a fact.
but the most annoying thing I have been asked is "I found a piece of cheese. Is this your piece of cheese?". seriously. there is no cheese! at least none that I have found...
