Time limit on main quest?

Post by Squee »

Ok I've been playing Fallout 2 for a day or two now, just reached lvl 8. One thing that bothers me is that the old shaman dude from Arroyo keeps visiting my dreams and is tellling me to hurry. Do I have to hurry or do I have unlimited time to find the GECK?
You guys are my best friends, we've always been together, we're four of a kind laughing all day and palling away, we're best friends!

No, there's no time limit. At least I don't think so.

There's no limit time, but after a lot of time has passed, I think about 10 months, he'll tell you to return to the village because Horrigan and his troops have reached Arroyo.

EDIT:
This is copied from The Vault Wikipedia, you can compare the time in your game and the time that Enclave reaches Arroyo:

While the Chosen One was on his quest, on July 20, 2242, Arroyo was attacked by Enclave

There is timelimit in Fallout 2. The limit is 13 years, so basically you won't run out of time. I know only one person (member here in GB) who had the problem of running out of time.
