Installing the Mod
You can't go wrong if you follow the installation directions posted on the website and/or included in the readme distributed with the mod which basically have you reinstall the game from scratch and this mod (no 1.2 patch needed).
If you downloaded a Beta of the Mod and you have old Beta 4.x save games, they should be compatible. But I still recommend starting a new game for people who are not too far along. It is the best way to be sure that any bugs you encounter are legitimate and not artifacts of an old save game.

Bug found in Official release 1.0 involving use of Histories. If you choose a history, all your keys will be lost when you possess/unpossess. Recommendation is to avoid using histories until version 1.1 patch is released.
You can disable history support in your current game by issuing the following command in console:
G._pcinfo["vhistory"]=-1

An issue was found with installing Companion Mod on Vista when User Account Control (UAC) is enabled. I have created a video that walks through installing the mod step-by-step in a UAC friendly manner here:

Latest Patch?
Will the latest unofficial patch by wesp (6.0) work with this mod? I tried the patch and then installed the mod and played through but the mod did not work (however the patch did) but I reinstalled the mod over the patch (i think patch 4.something over installed the latest) and tried it and I think the mod is working by something I was able to say to Knox about him being my ghoul? anyway, will they work together? Is there anyway when you made 1.1 you can intergrate them together?
Thanks x

You would likely know if CompMod was installed.
VTMB only allows 1 mod or patch to override game files. So no, CompMod is not compatible with any other mods or patches. However CompMod is a stand alone entity. Stability fixes from Wesp's Unofficial Patches have already been integrated in. Everything you need for CompMod is packaged with the mod. (Even the official patch).
Furthermore, you must start a new game for it to work. Old save games are not compatible (I had to change the save format to account for companions). I would recommend playing as a class with social disciplines (dominate, dementation, presence), but it isn't required. If you play as Nos or Gangrel, you wont see any differences in gameplay until you meet heather following the Dane.
There are directions on the website that will step you through installing CompMod if you wish to play with it. CompMod is distributed as a double wrapped archive. There is a a .7z (7-Zip) file within the zip file. Several people have extracted the .7z from the zip file not realizing that further extraction was needed using 7-zip. I am probably going to release a 7z and a zip stand alone version in the future (no double wrapping) if the file distros will allow it.

are they any updates in this mods ??
Seriously this mod works fantastic in the game but later in the game it adds a lot of frustration like the tram bug suddenly my companions appeared out of nowhere then i am floating in the sky and wait for the tram to stop also i cannot get out of that area forcing me to cheat.
Suggestion if the player forgot to remove his/her companion to avoid this bug. There should be a force removal of the companion you have or a notice they would leave the quest.
Can you also add a teleport skill in the game so that you could teleport your companion if you need them.
Seriously in most of my boss fight one companion is the only one in that area or sometimes i don't have a companions to help me fight the boss.
Also with the ending seeing my companion standing with la croise then explode. Really bugs me out. Suggestion when the scene force them to be remove to make ending the game kind a cool.

I don't think so. But you should try telling it's creator Dheu your stuff at the new Planet Vampire forum, where he is active: Carpe Noctem Kins! : Planet Vampire : Carpe Noctem Kins!happy15 wrote:are they any updates in this mods ??
