Noob Question - Learning Mage Spells

Anyways, I can't figure out how to learn Mage spells. The scroll things I find in dungeons and in shops go right into quick items. Where the hell do I learn spells? How do I learn Mage spells?

I could have swore I found some kind of a book looking thing that taught my mage Identify, but I can't remember, although it might have been a scroll thing like the ones that go into quick items.

I'm confused, and I've done a bunch of searches for some kind of a clear answer to the questions I just asked. My mage has level 2 spells open but no level 2 spells learned, so it's basically wasted slots. =\

Buy an arcane spellscroll.
Rightclick it in your inventory screen.
You should get a description and, if you don't know the spell yet, an option to copy it to your spellbook.
