Fallout 2 patch problems

Hello,

I have recently acquired 2 files: Fallout_2.img and Fallout_2.sub
Using DAEMON tools I have mounted the Fallout_2.img and intalled (Humongous installation - A bit over 600 Megabytes, not humongous nowadays) it. Running Fallout 2 is not a problem.

However: I have downloaded the patch (UK version 1.02) and applied it, now the system sais Fallout 2 cannot run without the cd. I suspect that this problem can be fixed using DAEMON tools to create an imaginary drive for Fallout 2. I have treid to mount Fallout_2.img but it the missing cd problem remains.

If anyone could help me solve this problem to get the patched version running, please do tell me what how to fix the problem.

Did you actually buy the game, or downloaded or copied from friend/relative? In case of downloading/copying it, sorry, no help here as we do not support piracy.
