Equipment Database
Equipment Database
Equipment database [for Drakensang] is missing Shields, even though all the shields are there.

It also misses some of the weapons (like Snip) and Two-handed swords are both in their own category as well as in the one-handed swords one. Also, normal clothing and armors (all parts - legs, arms, ec) are bundled up in the same category and rather hard to navigate through. Lastly, although there are some items in the items database, some, like those tassets for example, certain recipies and several other odd bits and pieces are never actually available in-game.

The best place to put this, so as to bring it to the attention of the site owner, is under GameBanshee Discussions. Which is where it is moving now, by the magic of modern transitive verbs.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
I think Buck just extracted the equipment from the game's data files and created the database that way. As I write the Drakensang walkthrough, I'm sure we'll do some tweaking and modifying.

Thanks, shields link added.Ergopad wrote:Equipment database [for Drakensang] is missing Shields, even though all the shields are there.Moderator?
One-handed swords and two-handed swords show up separately for me. What browser are you using?She-Wolf wrote:It also misses some of the weapons (like Snip) and Two-handed swords are both in their own category as well as in the one-handed swords one. Several items, including Snip, were manually removed from the database because I wasn't able to interpret their information correctly in the data files. If you send me a screenshot of the in-game stats for any missing items, I'd be happy to add them. I'd also be happy to remove any items that you've confirmed cannot be obtained in the game.
I'll recheck that 1h-swords/2h-swords thing again.
Some of the items listed seem only available as staring equipent of certain classes. Others arein the database but either not in the game or I failed to find them (though I'm pretty diligent, so...)
Anyway, I should have some time tomorrow or the day after, so I'll go trough the database and see what mixups I can figure out. I'll also take a snapshot of Snip and a staff called Soulsplitter that also isn't listed in the database. How do I send you the snapshots and whatever otehr info I dig up though?
Finally, I have a sugesstion regarding the organization of the database. Many of the torso items are really just plain clothing while others count as actual "armor". Perhaps those two should be seperated? Also, many items are quest-only, so they might as well have their own category. Oh, and the Armor of Fire, since it's comprised of all other quest armor pieces shows up as a full item at the beginning of almost every category; for example, in "greaves" category, first item listed is Armor of Fire, then below it are the Greaves of Fire and then comes the rest of the regular greaves.

Please email them to us and we'll get any such items added to the DB.She-Wolf wrote:How do I send you the snapshots and whatever otehr info I dig up though?
I believe this applies to more than just torso items, and I think I decided at the time that it would be a little redundant to list the armor links as "Torso w/o Armor, Torso w/ Armor, etc." I suppose we could have an entire category of links dedicated to clothing, but I'm not sure it's necessary as there really aren't many "armor" pieces that don't provide some sort of protection.She-Wolf wrote:Many of the torso items are really just plain clothing while others count as actual "armor". We'll most likely be making some changes to the database as the walkthrough is being written, and having a "quest items only" checkbox might be something we'll add. As for the Armor of Fire, any piece of armor that covers more than one body section shows up in multiple categories. Given the nature of our search, I'm not sure how we could keep the Armor of Fire from showing up in more than one place without changing its statistics. I guess I don't see it as a big issue, but if others do, I'm sure we could figure out something.She-Wolf wrote:Also, many items are quest-only, so they might as well have their own category. Snip and Soulsplitter are now included in the database. Please let me know if you discover any other items that are missing.
Those two are the only ones I can think of this far. As for the other items and the database itself, I'm going through it now and this is what I found:
Amulets:
Amulet of Rondra - Only available if you pickpocket the diplomat Grelin. Couldn't find it in-game any other way.
Spectacles of Perception - never found it.
Arm Grevaes and Gloves
Both categories list the same set of items. I suspect this is because most gloves also use the greaves slot. perhaps just one category, then? The "gloves/greaves" one?
Head
Bone Helmet - never found it.
Pants
Mactaleänata Skirt - never found it.
Tassets - ditto. (Far as I understood, one NPC has the item listed on her, but its never available for the players)
Shields
Leather Shield - never found it.
*Thorwalian Roundshield - only available as starting equipment of a pirate.
Shoes
*Elven Buckskin Boots - only available as the Spellweaver's starting gear. Not sure if this goes for all other elven-type boots (I think I saw them at some merchants later on, but I'm not sure)
Also, the "greaves" section lists several boots and one panataloons alongside regular greaves, then the items repeat in the boots section.
Shoulders
Lists the shoulderpads, then goes on and lists almost all torso items afterwards.
Rings
Precision Scales - never found them.
Torso
Leather Cuirass - never found it (pity, I really needed it... Its not the starting equipment of any class, either)
1H Axes
Wyrmslayer is the last 1H weapon listed; after that, 2H Axes go on.
Bows
War Bow - never found it.
Also, the bows section lists crossbows as well.
Daggers
Elven Hunting Knife - never found it.
Fencing Weapons
Wolfsblade - never found it.
Sabres
Arbach - never found it.
Books
Ethereal Whisperings - never found it.
Recipies
Instructions For Armor-Piercing Arrows, Instructions For Dragonslayer Hammer, Instructions For Horasian Épée, Instructions For Ornate Sword, Instructions For Padded Chainmail Shirt, Instructions For Thaloshrom's Dwarven Skraja, Instructions For Two-Hander, Instructions For War Bow, Recipe For Dragon's Spit - never found any of these.
There are aslo things in the "other items" section that I never found, but I suppose that'll get cleared up as the Walkthrough progresses on.
Now, for some of the items listed I am certain they're never in-game; for others, it might be that I managed to miss them somehow so if anyone could double-check the list it would be nice.
edit:
Instructions For Dragonslayer Hammer, Instructions For Thaloshrom's Dwarven Skraja, Instructions For Two-Hander - found them, eventually, so I can confirm they're in the game and available at some point. Same thing for Arbach sabre - on vendor had it, so it's in there after all.
